Iso-Lyn™ Isotonic by AMIX NUTRITION is a powdered drink mix for preparation with water. It combines carbohydrates from dextrose, maltodextrin, crystalline fructose and isomaltulose (Palatinose®) with electrolytes including calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium.
The powder format is convenient for anyone who wants a mixed drink during physical activity and can be prepared as an isotonic or hypotonic beverage depending on the volume of water used.
The formula is built around a blend of readily soluble carbohydrates. Dextrose and maltodextrin make up the larger share, alongside crystalline fructose from corn and isomaltulose (Palatinose®). The mineral complex provides calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, sodium and potassium, with the Amix™ PhosphoMatrix contributing dicalcium phosphate, disodium phosphate and dipotassium phosphate. Beetroot juice is included in the orange flavour version. The powder dissolves in water to produce a drink whose concentration can be adjusted by the amount of liquid used.
When is the best time to drink Iso-Lyn™ Isotonic?
Drink it during physical activity, prepared with water according to your preferred isotonic or hypotonic concentration.
How much water turns one scoop into an isotonic or a hypotonic drink?
One 40 g scoop in 500 ml of water gives an isotonic drink (285–305 mOsm per litre, as the manufacturer states); the same scoop in 750 ml of water gives a hypotonic drink.
How should I store the powder to prevent it from clumping?
Store the powder in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from direct sunlight, and keep the container closed between uses.
