Celtic sea salt is harvested by hand from coastal salt marshes with clay soil, a traditional method that leaves the salt unrefined. Because it is not washed or bleached, it naturally retains trace minerals such as chloride, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, and zinc. Chloride, present as one of the main minerals in this salt, contributes to normal digestion by production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. The other trace minerals are present in small amounts, consistent with the naturally occurring mineral profile of unrefined sea salt.
Use it as you would regular table salt: added during cooking or sprinkled over finished dishes such as fish, meat, soups, salads, pasta, or cereals, according to taste.
